Nanaimo Adventure Program - Before and After School Programming
Bonaventure Support Services Ltd. is excited to offer a youth program catering to each unique individual with their personal goals and needs.  We offer services for youth 13 years and older, before and after school as well as services throughout the summer months.

Bonaventure works with individuals, families and other support systems to provide support to persons with disabilities within the community.  We work to create a strong support system for people with FASD, ASD, and other Developmental Disabilities.

We work to increase independence, improve social skills, while building confidence and empowering the individual through recreation, education, vocational, cultural and life skills.

Bonaventure has incorporated some curriculums such as "Superflex and the Unthinkables" by Stephanie Madrigal and Michelle Garcia Winner.  This is a program that helps youth with social thinking and overcoming barriers in their lives.  And "Zones of Regulation" by Leah M. Kuypers, which is designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control in all types of situations.

Programs run from Monday to Friday or chose your days for service 2-5:30 pm, there is also before school hours for service if needed.

Pro D/IEP Days
We will provide extra full day programming for those days when school isn't in session.  It will vary from school to school but we will work to accommodate as many days as possible.

1-1 Programming
We work with Autism Funding and MCFD (Ministry of Children and Family Development) to provide support specifically designed to the needs of children and youth and their families.  Our support extends to work alongside other community partners who support the children and youth in their growth and development.

We will work with Autism Funding, MCFD and parents to create the best plan of support for each child or youth.

We will work with families and the Ministry to find the best match for your family to provide some breathing room so you can parent to the best of your ability.
